Issues

Our Vietnamese customers found the contact information of our sales staff on our company’s official website, and gave our sales staff a phone call. After detailed communication, we knew the customer wanted to prevent the local mudslides and mudslides caused by the months of rainy season in Vietnam. Landslides often cause huge losses and some even devastating disasters to industrial and agricultural production and people’s lives and property.

The main hazards of landslides are the destruction of farmland, houses, damage to humans and livestock, destruction of forests, roads, agricultural machinery and water conservancy and hydropower facilities, etc., sometimes even causing devastating disasters to the villages, causing the accumulation of silt in Hanoi. The local government requires the contracting company to provide safety materials to solve the problem of maintaining the stability of the slopes on both sides of the river.

(1) Ecological beauty. Water permeability and soil retention of HDPE geocell are better, which is conducive to vegetation growth. More than 98% of the open area has almost no engineering traces. The flexible structure adapts to and retains the natural shape of the terrain to the greatest extent. (6) Even in a soft soil environment, it can resist all loads generated by the mass and internal friction of the filler and maintain structural stability. When the foundation soil can be compressed or when construction is in difficult-to-access locations, it can adapt to site challenges. Precautions for construction of HDPE geocells for slope protection 

  1. Working surface. The flatness of the slope is related to the result of grass planting protection in the geocell. When the slope surface is uneven, the laying of the geocell is prone to stress concentration, which will cause the cell’s solder joints to crack and cause the cell to straddle and so on. Therefore, the slope must be leveled to the design requirements, and artificial slope repairs must be selected to remove pumice and dangerous rocks on the slope.
  2. The main drainage ditch system should be set up on the side slope of the paving cell, and the interval between two adjacent ditches is 4m. The drainage ditch is connected with the road side ditch, so that the road area flows along the side ditch into the drainage channel and enters the road edge. In order to avoid water in the road surface and prevent the cell slope from being washed away.
  3. Flatten the slope surface to remove some debris that is not conducive to the laying of the cell, so that the slope surface is flat and firm. You can also sprinkle a layer of high-quality soil first to facilitate the growth of plants.
  4. The cell should be laid from top to bottom in the main force direction, so that the cell sheet weight is perpendicular to the roadbed. It must not be laid horizontally.
  5. Open the geocell components, and nail a hook-shaped rivet pile at the top of each grid. The length of the rivet pile is required to be twice the height of the cell itself plus 30cm. Piles mainly play the role of opening the cell. The center and bottom of the bamboo and wood piles can also be used to stretch the cell. The top riveting pile mainly plays the role of hanging and riveting the cell. Better materials should be used. , Such as steel rods and so on.
  6. After the cell is opened and riveted, fill the cell space from top to bottom with high-quality soil suitable for cultivating turf or grass seeds. The filling should be 1.2 times the height of the cell, and be beaten to be firm and planted in time. On vegetation.
  7. When used on the lower slope of the highway, the drainage ditch should be connected with the shoulder retaining ditch to facilitate the drainage of road surface water, and the slope protection should not be washed. Make the water-blocking ditch at the height of the upper slope flow into the drainage ditch to prevent the accumulated water from directly scouring the slope protection. The upper slope should try to use a geocell with a higher height.
  8. After the construction is completed, re-inspection should be done. If the rivet piles are not fully tensioned and are not strong, they should be reworked in time until the turf or grass seeds are fully alive.

Key points of construction of HDPE geocell used in slope protection works

  1. The slope protection geocell should be covered during transportation to prevent long-term exposure and pollution;
  2. For the hot-melt welding of the slope protection geocell, it is necessary to do a process experiment before construction. Before the experiment, submit the experiment plan to the supervisor, and the experiment can be carried out after approval. The lap length is not less than 10cm, and the lap surface is not allowed to be pulled within 2h after welding;
  3. When the tensioned grid is laid flat on the slope surface to pave the geo geocell, start from the slope shoulder and open the bottom of the slope along the slope surface. The tensioning cell is placed flat on the slope, and the slot at the end of the cell is placed in the U-shaped anchoring groove;
  4. After the top is fixed, first fix the edges on the left and right sides of the stretched geo geocell grid, and then temporarily fix the bottom of its lower end with anchors. After filling the soil, pull out the anchor used for fixing the lower end;
  5. The expanded geocell needs to be a full diamond shape. It is strictly forbidden to trample or use heavy objects to cause the cell to deform;
  6. ​​After the HDPE geocell has passed the inspection, carry out the filling and burial operation, fill the top first, bury the U-shaped anchor ditch at the top, and then fill and bury the buried pressure ditch at the bottom of the slope from top to bottom;
  7. Pave humus soil on the paved geo geocell within 12 hours for protection, or take other protective measures to prevent ultraviolet radiation from accelerating the aging of the honeycomb cell;
  8. After the overall burial, cover one-third of the height of the soil in the HDPE geocell;
  9. Paving is prohibited in rainy and snowy weather.
