Description
Geosynthetic clay liner, also know as geo clay liner or GCLs, is made from natural sodium-based bentonite or other low-permeability mineral materials covered with two layers of geosynthetic materials such as geomembrane or geotextile by needle punching, stitching or strong fixation with chemical adhesives. Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) is an environmentally friendly composite geotechnical material widely utilized as a substitute for compacted clay liner. It consists of a layer of bentonite that can swell and form a low-permeability clay barrier when exposed to water, providing moisture-proof and waterproof properties. The combination of outstanding anti-permeability characteristics in GCL, along with the tear resistance, high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and acid and alkali resistance of geotextile or geomembrane, enables GCL to meet specific environmental requirements and achieve an ideal anti-seepage effect.
GCL serves as an effective solution due to its ability to automatically form a low-permeability clay layer upon contact with water, ensuring superior moisture and waterproofing capabilities. Additionally, the geotextile or geomembrane component enhances the overall performance of GCL, making it adaptable to various environmental conditions. By utilizing geosynthetic clay liners, projects can benefit from their eco-friendly nature and achieve effective seepage control, safeguarding the environment and meeting the desired anti-seepage objectives.
GEOSINCERE is the leading geosynthetic clay liner manufacturers and suppliers, we offers high quliaty geosynthetic clay liner for worldwide customers ar competitive factory price.

Geosynthetic Clay Liner Applications
Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) is an innovative and eco-friendly composite geomaterial that combines the excellent tensile strength and chemical stability of geotextiles or geomembranes with the low permeability of bentonite. This unique combination of properties makes GCL a versatile solution for various engineering projects.
GCL finds extensive applications in diverse fields such as landfills, mining operations, dams, canals, lakes, environmental protection initiatives, artificial lakes, and underground waterproofing and anti-seepage projects in construction. Its high tensile strength ensures durability and stability, while the chemical stability of the geotextile or geomembrane component enhances its overall performance.
The low permeability provided by the bentonite layer within the GCL enables effective containment and prevents seepage of water or other liquids. This makes it an ideal choice for projects where waterproofing and anti-seepage measures are crucial.
With its reliable performance and environmentally friendly nature, geosynthetic clay liner serves as a valuable solution in various engineering applications, ensuring the protection of structures, water resources, and the environment as a whole.
